The Economic Restructuring Committee works on strengthening the existing economic base of the Main Street area while diversifying it. Activities include assisting existing businesses sustain and expand, recruiting new businesses, helping convert unused space into productive property, and supporting healthy competitiveness of Main Street Merchants.

The current focus is on maintaining a database of property owners, acting as a liaison between potential tenants and the people who represent property owners, and helping expedite negotiation processes. The Committee is focused on finding a unique variety of businesses to keep our Main Street District area competitive. The Committee has initiated financial incentives to support new district business owners succeed, and the Committee is focused on assisting prospective district business owners relocate and develop sustainable business plans.
