The Design Committee's focus is the physical appearance of the Main Street District. This includes working with businesses, building owners, and local officials to make improvements to buildings, signs, awnings, window displays, landscaping, and other physical attributes. A Streetscape plan has been designed to give a focus to the continual improvements in this area. The Design Committee continues to help businesses provide modern improvements while trying to maintain the historic appearance of the district.

Some of the Committee's recent projects include the addition of downtown park benches, street lights, trash receptacles, flower gardens, banners, and the development of Trail Head Park. On the horizon are projects including improvements to Charles Park, additional street lights, and historic sign markers to show the public some unique qualities of the downtown district.
