Charles Park Rededication Ceremony

The Charles Park Rededication Ceremony was held on May 13, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. The ceremony was an opportunity to dedicate a historic Beatrice landmark for a new century.
The extremely talented Beatrice High School Jazz Band Ensemble performed to a crowd of over fifty attendees.
Main Street Beatrice had the opportunity to thank Bob Nootz, chairman of the Main Street Beatrice Special Projects Committee, and the many partners that made the restoration of Charles Park a reality. Among those thanked included: Exmark and the Community Giving Committee, the City of Beatrice, The Master Gardeners, and the Builders Club sponsored by the noon Kiwanis.
The families of Judy Trebold and Catherine Hamm were thanked for their generous donations, given in posthumous, to the restoration of Charles Park. The Judy Trebold Memorial Garden in Charles Park will serve as a memory of Judy’s work and dedication as an active Main Street Board member.

Mayor Dennis Schuster spoke about the unique history of Charles Park and acknowledged the great work that has been accomplished with the restoration project. Bruce Cooper, a manager from Exmark, spoke about the generous contributions and involvement of Exmark and the Community Giving Committee.

Charles Park has been an ongoing restoration project. This project could not have been completed if it were not for the hard work of many volunteers and partners.
